In this case the problems of the most constituents could be better handle by a person who has firsthand knowledge. What I have observed is most of these MP’s were born and raise in the big cities, they know nothing about their great grandparents village but come election time rush back with claims that they are from these villages to seek their mandate to represent them…

There was massive corruption then as it is now. But the issue is people do not stand up to family members and friends when they are engaged in criminality, corruption, etc. but rather choose to enjoy the largess.
