What is new? Either a goat ate his original certificate, or his certificate is made out of mercury which changes names at will. This party of the elephant never ceases to amaze me.

“bears a different name, Amofa Isaac Owireku, meaning Owireku was his surname.”
Amofa Isaac Owireku means his surname is Amofa. This is the way it is written in Schools and Universities.

I can see that there is no comma indicated after the first name, bowever the list of names have not been varied to the point of absurdity. It still remains the same three.
I cannot speak to the issue of Kwabia, but given that it shows on a newly sworn-to document, the gentleman may be the real thing, and should have been given the benefit of the doubt or asked to bring a police report.
This kind of borders on discrimination.

So we were called by our surnames, Al- Hassan S.Y, Bawumia S, Mahama J.D. etc and even in Legon(UG) it was the same practice so I do not know when the NPP changed this.
In the US however they do not say surname, they use first, middle and last names so in that case the last name is the equivalent of our surname. eg John D. Mahama(Mahama being the last name).

I think the vetting committee was just being picky. Sometimes we all change the order of our names but that alone should not be the basis of his disqualification. I have been wondering lately why in my secondary school days in Ghana in the late seventies, we almost always called people using their last name first and then their given (English) name. Opoku Stephen; Adjeibea Esther etc

These are the kind of people who want to go to parliament to make laws to govern Ghanaians.
What a pity.

This is not fair, I believe so far as he has all the three names on all the documents shows he is the same person. This is not a ground for you to disqualify him.
