Big example of Ghanaian hypocrisy on your part. Where in the comment did Kay talk about NPP? How do you know which party Kay belongs to? You see, Ghanaians are hypocrites who always act like they want the truth but afraid to be honest. What is wrong with attacking the NDC? They have thieved the money through Wayome and everybody knows that, if not, why are all of them attacking Amidu? So how can you say this is not about NDC? Amidu should be given all the assistance to remove these disgraceful thieves from ruling the country.

And what is cowardly and hypocritical about what Kosi wrote? I pray, tell us. If anything at all, you are the hypocrite.
Kay mentioned Amidu's party, - "your party members are criminals" - which PARTY everybody knows is NDC, to go into opposition, ostensibly for NPP to take over. Is that not a politicisation of a clearly criminal case which Kosi is writing against?
You NPP people, from the yobos like you on Ghanaweb to your leaders in Ghana, have clearly unduly politicised
this case from the very beginning, thereby pushing the small-minded young men running the NDC from the Castle to Flagstaff House, many of whom were not even PNDC activists, into the corner This has led to their taking decisions which resulted into the collapse of the case against Woyome alone. You NPP members are therefore doing all Ghanaians a big disservice! Stop it!
Look at what you wrote yourself? Where is the evidence that the NDC as a party organised the scam? Why then did Mills order that Woyome should NOT be paid? Just a ruse or part of the plot to deceive Ghanaians? Why are JJ and Amidu very upset and gunning for heads to roll? Oh! Woyome forgot to give them some of the loot, eh? Please, stop your small-minded, pedestrian politicsation of this case.
Meanwhile, I am not surprised by Amidu's present. I vented my own expletives on Dr Ayine when his outburst came out.

The fact is "Ghana is retrogressing" We are no more one nation, one people with a common destiny. A Paramount Chief thanking the President for nominating somebody from their region to a Ministerial position ? This shows how Ghana has disintergrated to tribal/regional lines and that should not be the case. If a northerner/southerner/voltarian/ashanti/westerner or wherever a person comes from and he or she is competent and capable to be nominated for a position, all Ghanaians should join hands and celebrate, not the region that person comes from. We should stop tribalism.

Martin Amidu may be one of Ghana's esteemed legal mind but very much unwise. Judges on court benches across Ghana like their counterparts in other nations do not render decisions in a vacuum but via sound judicial principles and precedents in law. It is therefore incumbent on judges not to render decision in cases before them without understanding of who has judicial standing and the constitutional legal framework the courts could use or if the selected court did have authority to sit on the pending case.
The court and judge who accepted and rendered a decision on the initial Woyome case mattered because its decision, at the very least, showed or implied Woyome had a legal standing and not frivolous. Did the second court and judge who affirmed and awarded damages also fail to do its homework? Are those courts not under the supervision of the Supreme Court? Yes the office of the Attorney General may have failed in mounting a vigorous challenge or defense of government position in the Woyome initial case but Martin Amidu knows darn well judges are obligated to do their homework on cases they adjudicate. It was therefore not beneath or above the offices of the lower courts to have concluded Woyome did not have a case against government because of the constitutional definition of a contract relative to the Woyome case.
Would one be wrong in arguing that but for the constitutional constraint placed on the Supreme Court justices, Woyome would have been victorious in the case of Martin Amidu V Woyome? Under the standard legal definition of a contract, the exchange of services between Woyome and government with the promise of financial reward from government makes it a binding contract. The shame of it all is that Martin Amidu is fighting for a government that chose to defraud its own citizens through misrepresentation, lies and abrogation of standing government best practices and procedures. Yes Martin Amidu is a vigilante but of the worst kind because he helps government to defend an indefensible act using a poorly written article in a morally bankrupt constitution that deemed it fit to carve out indemnity clause to shield wrong doing in office by officials. Where is Ghana’s blind justice who sees no poor, rich and or presumed guilt or innocence of those who come before it?

It's one thing to disagree with the content and substance of the Deputy AG's criticism of the judgement; but it's another thing altogether to berate the Deputy AG for either having dared to criticise the judgement or for the form of his criticism!
I may not agree with the content of the Deputy AG's criticism, but I don't see anything wrong, whether ethically or constitutionally, with the fact and form of the criticism!
Firstly, the judgement as a whole, and, in particular, the legal reasoning that informed it, are not beyond reproach! Nor are they cast in some constitutional concrete or protected by some constitutional totalitarianism that puts them beyond criticism or fault-finding! The democracy that holds court judgements sacrosanct and sacred and beyond criticism is not what is practised Ghana!
If judges have a right, and a protection, to reason, the others too have a right, and a liberty, to question their reasoning!
If a judgement, and the legal reasoning underpinning it, are deemed so sound as to assume a hallowed status of being beyond reproach, then, then, they need not be apprehensive of criticism and, indeed, should be subject to the test of criticism!
Secondly, as to the form of the criticism, those choices of language that the Deputy Attorney General is reported to have employed -- namely, "travesty of justice", the Justice's "mind was made up from day one", and the "ruling is a prime example of poor judicial reasoning leading to conclusions that are totally untenable" -- are neither outrageous nor despicable! Nor are they insulting or abusive of the judge!
Some portions of the language may be in bad taste; but that's a matter of opinion -- a subjective issue! Moreover, even if some portions are in bad taste, they shouldn't be so overblown as to overshadow the content and import of the criticism!
