Some of you people seem to be of the view that democracy - whatever it means, must be practiced and put into effect even when or, if it ceases to be beneficial or ceases to make sense. Democracy was made for the convenience of man and not to create inconveniences or a burden onto man.
If one continues to practice democracy to a fault, no benefit will come out of it. Common-sense is what must prevail at all times in mans life.
