This Fortiz/Merchant bank deal deal from all indications is putrid, it stinks to the high heavens and nothing can justify such an atrocious deal, when Ghanaian taxpayers, from all indications are not getting any VALUE FOR MONEY in this stinking deal. Omane Boamah, MD should seek to explain why an equity firm which cannot even boast of the asset base to even acquire a non-financial banking license, should be made to take on this onerous task of not even a merger, but a full complete acquisition of Merchant bank, when Ghanaian taxpayers, have been offered far, far better VALUE FOR MONEY propositions from identifiable bodies with a portfolio of assets eclipsing over 100 billion dollars? It is indeed mindboggling the level of impunity and recklessness which has been unleashed on the affairs on governance by this NDC gov't. Ghana indeed deserves better than this recklessness which is permeating all facets of governance in this country. It's awfully pathetic.

The current situation in the NPP is not one of intention but rather inexperience. I suspect Afoko and Agyapong mean well. Unfortunatly the inexperience in execution a solution is the problem. My “two pence” advice to two people is to remember that political parties, big organisation and people management in general is about sizes. Whiles the flic of the rudder on a speed boat will turn it 180 degrees, the same movement on a tanker or battle ship will at best tilt and at worst sink it. And political parties are like huge oil tankers.
Wise people never see through the execution of their policies but rather lay the foundation for the next person to execute and take the credit. It is only generations after them that their names are printed in the minds of all who can remember.

What is so worrying is that they don’t mind destroying others because they want power. Attacking and distracting leaders without sound alternative is not only sickening but also portrays immaturity and emptiness of these cohorts. They just want to do or say something to grab unnecessary attention. They have no solution???. if you test their opinion by deep analysis, you always end up by cheap and shallow political biases and unfounded allegations. This is what has gripped the so called civil society.

They behave like ostriches pretending all is fine. How on earth did they end up in a hair dressing salon for a loan? These are the kind of people they are. Sheer incompetency, majority of them attended school and finished with no school certificates and cannot even remember which school they attended. Everything they know about economics is buying and selling. Creativity has eluded them. They only dream.

The executive will stay in their position under the legal construct of quod est factum factum est (What is done is done). As of the time the regional bodies met, they constituted a legitimate body whose authority nobody challenged in a court of law. Their decision is therefore binding, and will be without prejudice to any latter day re-interpretation of existing law.
Paul Afoko and Kwabena Agyapong will remain in their positions.

I am not surprised at all at what is happening in NPP. What is happening in NPP is curse on them as a punishment for destroying Ghana when they came to power in 2000 to 2008 and turn around to blame NDC for the countries woes. During their era, they allowed a lot of foreigners into the country who only came and dollarize our economy. They later rede nominate the cedi which has become the major woe of the country. Instead apologizing for their wickedness they have turned to blame innocent people who are working hard to alleviate the situation. Ghanaians should understand that most of these NPP men have lived abroad so when it comes to spending money they always think in dollars and pounds. Their dollar mentality is what has destroyed Ghana and making Ghanaians suffer. The only solution for the economic hardship is for the government to revert to the old Ghana cedi.
