We may disagree with the minister for many reasons but we cannot rubbish the message he is reminding us about. The private sector is a drive behind most successful economies. Its a good thing he said for that obvious understanding that high/tertiary level education is meant to train our brains to solve problems. We need to examine how far our education since independence have helped to solve our own problems? Because our colonial master's education during their rule in Ghana was not meant for development, it was good for looting our forefathers, but still this education system has not changed after they left physically but still indirectly ruling us. For instance their democracy maybe good, but why did they not practice or gave us the opportunity to be ruled democratically when they annexed Africa? Unfortunately, our whiteman's "copy and paste" educational system in Ghana in many ways do not help equip us to solve local problems. Also, we lack create and innovation centres that could link investors to individual good ideas that need capital funding. So the conclusion here is, what grounds have we prepared for people to go self-employed or private entrepreneurship as we encourage them to do so?

The KPoly should take part of the blame for the unemployment of their graduates and for producing unproductive graduates. The KPoly should know better!
The public service has limited opportunity for employment of graduates. The private sector offers opportunities without limits to the thinking graduate.
Ghana's oil and gas industry could employ over ten million graduates annually in self employment. Think and grow wealthy and healthy.
