How can this be a "comment" from CHRONICLE, when the ending goes like this:
"...If it is of any interest to Brigadier-General Nunoo-Mensah, let me tell him that I also do not like strikes either. And I am also of the opinion that no one likes strikes, even those who indulge in them. Strikes are always destructive and disruptive..."
In my opinion, a Newspaper will not say "I also........I like........let ME tell him that....".
Please name the writer, as this is not the CHRONICLE's comment.

OOO FATHER FORGIVE HIM FOR HE KNOWS NOT WHAT HE IS DOING.
A hallmark of any incompetency is an excuse, which by the way is a trademark for Mahama’s Administration an extension Mill’s inability to perform until his untimely death. Here we go again, putting the plight of suffering Ghanaians into different motions. How long can we wait until you move to your fourth gear?

THE THORN IN GHANA'S FLESH:
In my opinion, which is more or less a fact, so far as politics is concerned in Ghana, UP/NPP is not and has not been a political party that has a development agenda for the entire people of Ghana in our nations history. UP/NPP is a tribal coalition of elite Ashantis and Akyeams, whose fundamental agenda is to divide the country for their personal greedy interests.
Their impression to be a political party is fake, and all they need is votes from other tribes to facilitate the ASHANTI/AKYEAM agenda.
Had there been anytime in the nations history that a non ASHANTI/AKYEAM had been the flag bearer of their party? (UP/NPP)
Currently, it seems there is fighting for supremacy between the two (2) ethnic groups,(Ashantis/Akyeams) as to who leads the party in Ghanaian elections. The Ashanti caucus in the NPP are disappointed in the Akyeams for their failure to win the national elections in 2008-2012, and are bent on pulling them down to take over the leadership in the 2016 elections. Lets be honest and roll back our memories to the post-Independence era. How do they treat people in their party who are not an Ashanti/Akyeam? Akufo-Addo and his "Akyeam Mafia" must respect the majority voice of the people, and back down for a peaceful Ghana.
Kuffour under the NPP were declared victors by the same chairman of the EC, (Dr Afari Djan) in 2000 and 2004, and even though the NDC cried foul in the 2004 elections, they conceded for the sake of a peaceful Ghana. Since 1951, the UP/NPP had never accepted results of an election in Gold Coast/Ghana if is not in their favour. A confirmation of their divide and rule agenda, by the ELEMENTS OF SEDITION in the Ghana political system, who have sworn to render Ghana UNGOVERNABLE. They seem to forget that, WHO EVER GOD HAS ORDAINED, NO MAN CAN PUT ASUNDER.

Let the General speak his mind. We Ghanaians as a people, are making too many unreasonable demands on the Govt, forgetting that this country is our only home, and that it behoves every citizen to take care of their home. I do not think the General was insulting Ghanaian workers. He was just preaching nationalism and love of country to us. There must be an end to every situation. ADWO BREOO. Please leave the General in peace to continue loving his country. He is an elder statesman, and has paid his dues to this dear country of ours. Peace be unto this nation, Ghana. Amen!!

If he were treated the same way as current workers he would not have risen to his current state much more make that contribution. His patriotism would have run out long ago. The politicians including him have made us all loose our sense of patriotism.

Warless General; what did he do for this country other than joining SMC and defecting to the PNDC? What was the sacrifice that he was talking about? Was he not in the Army when Jerry Rawlings could just get up with a stick and overthrow the government. That was a display of his leadership skills and the sacrifice he was boasting about, right? Nonsense.

Honestly what the hell is this writer talking about? His gyrating posture makes it dizzying to grasp his real motif for the article. The writer’s attempt at stretching a conundrum to achieve a parallel is pathetic. Listen my friend, being a soldier does not empower someone to be obnoxiously rude to struggling peons who have starving families to feed. When General Stanley McChrystal of the US Army opened his mouth too wide, he was hurriedly forced to resign in spite of his long and meritorious achievements. This oaf Mensah Nunoo and his drooling boss Mahama should be told in no uncertain terms about the dangers inherent in condescending the poor. Victor Owusu paid dearly for some stupid remarks he made about Ewes later in his attempt at becoming a head of state. Mahama’s eerie silence over the whole issue could easily be interpreted as a presidential approval

Rightly as the writer of this article coutioned Brigadier General Nunoo Mensah, that,he should as much as he could to keep his blood pressure down},to actualise himself as a person approaching his 80s cannot be underestimated. This is the time after long service with the Army, that he should have enough time to stay at home comfortably to reflect on the events when he was in the Army, and have ample time to give candid pieces of advice to his children and looking after his grand kids, than involving himself in politics which needs the skin of a rhinocerous to stand it which I believe he does not have it now.One thing I have observed in his current hullabaloo is that he wanted people to be aware of his philantropic offorts he is making in the country, fair enough, but it is an indefatigable fact that {as the holy Bible says} those who have more will be required to give more to assist the poor in the society He should therfore do it whole heartedly without complaining and his reward shall be in Heaven.
