It would appear that those in control of the NDC, for the time being, were bent on excluding other bona fide members of the Party who may wish to lay democratic claims to who becomes the next flag bearer of the Party by excluding them even before the mortal remains of the demised President were interred. It is also symptomatic of how political party elites in Ghana and Africa worm their way into the confidences of persons perceived as likely to ascend to power positions for purposes of eventual personal economic gain at the expense of the generality of the mass of Party members and the Nation which every President swears to serve under the Constitution...

A continent with so much natural resources and BRAIN POWER but successsively led by do-nothing corrupt leaders surrounded by brainless fanatics. The best students in most universities around the world are Africans. The leader of the US has roots in this continent. What does that say about our potential ? HUGE ! We must put aside tribalism and political fanatism and look for good leaders.

African leaders, especially black leaders, love to show commitment to corruption than good governance. Mahama is a clear example of what I am saying. As soon as they are voted into power, the door is then open for them to exhibit class idiocy as if they have never sat in the classroom before.
Talk about corruption and they are at the helm.

Expensive cars to ride in on shoddy roads with no side walks and uncovered gutter, no lights to see their way through in the evenings at certain parts of Accra because most places in Accra has no street lights. All the light bulbs are out and most poles are about to fall down with wires out without any covers.

I completely disagree with you Abena. I personally would not say that Mahama is corrupt. No, I do not think so. However HIS job is to sort these corrupt people out. If he cannot do that, then he should get out as quickly as possible. That is what everybody wants and this is exactly where the problem lies. The relevant person here is the leader, not the people. Those still talking NDC or NPP are just wasting their times. The parties are not to be blamed even though they are equally corrupt. It’s all about the leaders. A typical Ghanaian leader must be indomitable and should be completely in control. This is because almost all politicians are dishonest and wantonly corrupt so the President should as a minimum jail WHOEVER messes with Ghanaian moral standards. Is he doing that? No, rather this President wants to be nice but that is not his job. He will need to be brutishly proactive to resolve this entrenched criminal and corrupt Ghanaian culture.

That is the reason why I continue insulting them all day long. They are all fools. I called them human animals. Yes, they are because if a dog can be trained to lead someone who has lost his sight to anywhere the person wants to go then it tells me that dog is more important than a human being. Ghanaian leaders are the most stupid fools in the world. From top to the bottom. Ma ka a maka! Nipa mmoa!

Mahama is being like Limann or Busia and we do not like this kind of leader. I am NDC but it is getting increasingly clearer to me that this Busia-Limann-Agya Atta type of thing is what Mahama is trying to do. Mahama should quickly sort out corruption. He should know that clean, transparent and efficient public and economic services also form part of real and able democratic systems.
I am of course of NDC ideology but Mahama should understand, and should do so fast that nobody will look at him or NDC if he wants to be as DEMOCRACHIE like all those failed past Presidents. Educated African leaders are mostly inefficient because they are naively bookish, ineptly in denial of adopting proactive measures and are often pointlessly idealistic on strategies. Democracy is good but it should be adopted, modified and applied sensitively to local or regional conditions taking into consideration cultural/traditional factors. Corruption in Ghana cannot, and never will be resolved with western-type democracy. All efforts to stop high level criminals will be undone by bureaucratic inertia. Therefore, the President must be overly proactive to stay ahead of all frustrations if corruption should be reduced or stopped That can only happen if this President is as committal as KN or JJ. I have not seen that yet but I am waiting in earnest of some ACTION.
If you should sort out corruption, armed robbery, lazy work ethic, meaningless education, moral decadence then an African leader must be singularly hard-headed, kind, sensible, benevolent and a no-nonsense player. So far only KN and JJ have displayed these qualities. Agya Atta was actually the worst but may be excused for being unwell. As for Mahama, you dare not play with the life of Ghanaians so please change that wasteful gentility of yours and get down to business. Everybody wants you to succeed; NDCs and NPPs alike so please stop this wasteful gentility and clean up every part of Ghanaian life. Thank you.
