The presiding member was wrong and apologized which is what civilized people do but the minister has no power to ban any citizen of the country from participating in a ministry's activities let alone presiding member of a District assembly, no law in Ghana gave even the president that power let alone a minister.
The ministry is not his personal or private business and the presiding member as the leader of the law makers of that assembly cannot be banned from participating in the ministry of local government's activities and by so doing he may be considered to be banning the entire membership of that assembly.
It is uncalled for, backward and dictatorial, something we never heard of even under military governments.

THE MINISTER IS ACTING LIKE A DICTATOR. WE DONNOT KNOW THE CONTENT OF THE SO CALLED INSULTS, YET HE IS ABUSING HIS POWER TO BAN THE PRESIDING MEMBER FROM HIS OFFICE. HAS HE FORGOTTEN HE IS THERE TO REPRESENT THE PEOPLE?.

This is unconstitutional!!! Nowhere in the constitutional does it stipulate that a Minister can ban office holders at the least provocation. In fact, this action is tantamount to Authoritarian and Dictatorian Rule which was the order of the day in medieval times. Let me remind the minister that WE are in a DEMOCRATIC ERA, where issues, actions and reactions as well as resolutions are based on the constitution of the land. I want the minister to take note and not to try and polute our hard-earned DEMOCRACY.
