Even their head-honcho himself,Nana Addo had a look of bewilderment on his face when the cameras were turned on him. As for Bawumiah, he could hardly appreciate the thrust of the arguments which being advanced about his hollow testimony on which the petitioners` case essentially hung;because he continiously kept a strange laugh on his face!

Lawyer Phillip Addison warned the petioners not to expect victory but did not say they should accept the SC's verdict honourably.
He also told the petitioners that they are demanding impossible mission from the SC that no African country has done.All petitioners have failed because of technicalities and numbers to effect the outcome.
The only worrisome statement in my opinion is where Lawyer Phillip Addison pleaded with the court to "satisfy the losers".The threatening declaration I found in his address was that he warned the judges that "if the losers are not satisfied they may resort to violence".So who are the losers Lawyer Addison is pleading soft landing for them?Addison refused to tell his audience that when the petitioners in Kenya,Nigeria,Uganda and Zambia failed their attempt in SC they accepted the verdict honourably without looking for satisfactory excuses.Thank you.

Two things affected Addison. First he had the rather "lucky" opportunity to listen to the addresses of the respondents and so spent much of his time trying to undo them. Perhaps if he had spoken first he would have dwelt more on his prepared address rather than persuing an advantage that did not exist. Probably building on the previous occasion that he was able to get the justices to scold Tstatsu for filing late, this time he played to an empty stadium. Tsatsu had already thrown the right punches and they had stuck. Secondly, Addison was disingenious in bringing about the disparity of the votes garnered by each candidates MPs, which was never pleaded. He thought coming n last to address the bench, he could snmuggle in an issue which had not been pleaded and leaving the respondents no opportunity to answer back. But that took too much of his time. It is not "curious for the SC to note" these differerences, what is curious is why Addison never brought the matter up during the actual arguments for the other parties to defend. Trying to score an offside goal during extra time and being caught. So you see he was belled out for spending time on a non-issue, and at the end had little time for his real address.

Inspite of all the fancy computations and spurrious analyses derived from them, he suddenly realized he and his team had not discharged the burden of proof required of them and tried very hard to dwell on making up the mythical figure of 11,842 pink sheets they hung their case on. He may recoversufficiently and do better tomorrow,but I think the die is cast!
But who knows this is Ghana`s SC,that endorsed the conversion of state assets into private hands with the explanation that such a move meets the public interest 'litmus' test!

For me, that portion of the address was a last minute plea to the panel not to totally dimiss the petitioners` case out of hand,but to offer the Nana Addo and his clique a face-saving ruling they could hang their hats on! addisin and his friends were dealt a bad hand by their own clients, who should have listened to good counsel from people like the Benois President,General Obassango, and a host of others who observed these elections up close on the ground, and conceded defeat graciously. But let`s not also forget this may be Akufo Addo`s last swang song,and so who can begrudge him and his adivers for attempting to lay claim to power through the 'backdoor'! Afterall there enough NPP-leaning SC Justices they figured they could always count on for a favouable ruling!

First and foremost, Lawyer Addison was responding to submissions presented by three different lawyers whereas all those three respondent lawyers were on one person so your "minute" mind should tell you that 30 minutes for lawyer Addison was not enough for him as against the three because they were all on one side. Lawyer Addison should have had 90 minutes in all fairness to equate times permitted for the oral submission of their addresses. Secondly, I don't know what you mean by Lawyer Addison turning 360 times to look at Nana Addo who was behind him. Maybe that is not what you mean to say but because you are prejudiced, your pen is faster than your mind so that is that. Probably you forgot that other important persons were also glued to their TV sets and even when the dumsor dumsor was in operation, people bought generators so that they can watch their TV and that you are not the only one who watched it. Oh yeah, that reminds me of the NDC's vehement attempts to stop all others from watching the SC proceedings so that no one can watch it in a bid to lie to us about what really went on in the court room. There are only two political parties in BHANA. Two years ago, during BHANA'S parliamentary election, one of the political parties formed a majority in parliament. The results of each of the constituencies are as follows:
Even though the number votes obtained by KPP Candidates are more that BMC candidates in parliament, BMC has a majority of members in parliament. Why? Because, BMC CANDIDATES won MORE CONSTITENCIES THAN KPP CANDIDATES.
