Where are the indications that in areas where the president loss similar serial numbers had been circulated to beef him up, while loosing. Becoming president by any means necessary is quite rich except to some is an affectation. The supreme court must rule to have the petitioners pay punitive damages to the state if they loose to deter future reprobates from any anti-establishment inclination.

Afari Djan may insult the intelligence of Ghanaians with any given reasons to the contrary. Let us be honest to ourselves in order to grow progressively as a nation. We are so blinded by partisanship that our morals fail divine tests. It is not least often that we read about fraud and heavy loses to the state perpetrated by public officials. It is a daily ritual to which we have grown accustomed . All because we either condone or downplay their destructive impact on the society. Our dear nation is steadily heading towards collapse due to permissible fraud. We must be bold to stand against things that contradict our values or will endanger the steadiness of our national growth - fraud being paramount of them.

The petioners claim that “The results therefrom ought to be annulled, especially in the face of the overwhelming evidence that the duplicate serial numbers became the mechanism by which all the other infractions, were committed in the December 2012 elections, just as where two passports with different names but the same serial number or two cheques with the same serial number are rejected by the relevant authorities as completely untenable” is most pathetic and a lack of understanding of statistics. Pink sheets with duplicate serial number are almost about 10,000 out of the 11,840 pink sheets presented. In such a ratio, one must expect nothing but a high proportion of duplicate serial numbers in all the other errors. Accordingly, it is a fallacy to draw a conclusion that duplicate pink sheets was the vehicle by which all other infractions were committed in the December 2012 elections. Infact, this is an act of academic dishonesty.
Secondly to compare pink sheet serial numbers to those of cheques and passports is most unfortunate and a lack of understanding of internal control systems. Cheque numbers can rather be compared to ballot paper serial numbers but not that of pink sheets. Pink sheets can rather be compared to a cheque summary sheet and accordingly need not be numbered. It is only an added control to number pink sheets and in actual fact credible election results can be obtained even where there are no serial numbers printed on them since they are mere summary sheets.
In as much as the petitioners have not been able to prove that a particular set of pink sheet duplicated led to a specific malpractice, the evidence relating to pink sheets with duplicated serial number remains speculative.
The other flaw of this category of errors is the fact that in Bawumia’s own evidence, he proved or sought to prove that even though there were duplicates, triplicates and quadruplicate numbering of exhibit numbers only one was used in the results of his analysis. In the same manner even though the EC printed duplicate pink sheet numbers only one polling station results were included in the declaration of the results.
I am surprised that the Petitioners have not withdrawn this category of their so called malpractices. In fact it only helped to add about 10,000 pink sheets to the evidence and made the entire court processes unwieldy and helped to confuse everbody including KPMG who were called in to help sort out the mess of the 100’s of thousands of pink sheets that were dumped on the respondents and the judges. It was a plan hatched by the Petitioners to confuse the respondents and the Judges in order to confuse the entire court processes and consequently help them win a case that they could not win through the ballot system.
This is a shame to academia
