After one year, if she is a Christian special prayers are offered for her in church during which she symbolically sheds her black attire and then she is at liberty to get married again. This event was called "WEEDS OFF CHURCH SERVICE ". And some years ago in ghana these events were advertised in the newspapers just like funeral announcements and they were big events. But times have changed now and the period for mourning and discarding the black attire has also been shortened drastically. Come to think of it, some widows can be quite young and how can they be deprived of companionship when their late husbands are buried in the ground six feet somewhere. So Mr Akamba, these are the signs of the modern world. Leave Mrs Kumah alone. She deserves companionship and if you had a secret crush, you just were not fast enough!!!!!!

The same should have happened to me if I were to have responded to the invitation of a friend of my wife whose husband, who was a reverend passed on.
We are not born with the same character. some people have the ability and perseverance to withstand pain, some don't have. Some of them are of the view that when the glass you are drinking with falls and spill the water you are drinking, that does not mean that you should go thirsty forever. So in the event of the glass with their milk breading and the milk spilling over they quickly take another glass and fill it with milk to drink.
So when the lady priest of my wife invited me without my wife after the death of her husband, i understood what she want, I got to like her more, but something prevented me from responding to her invitation.
