National Youth Organizer for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), George Opare Addo, says he is not perturbed about the NPP’s decision to pay the NDC with their own coin when they get power.

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) and its members have vowed to pay back when they eventually win power after some of their leading members have been allegedly harassed and hauled before court for misappropriating state funds.

Speaking in an interview with Oyerepa FM, George Opare Addo, said he is not perturbed by the NPP’s threats to deal with appointees in the current government.

“I am diligent with my work, and so I don’t have any problem with the threats that they will pay back when they get power. I was MCE for Akuapem North for eight years, and no audit found adverse findings against me.

I am not in power to make money but to serve the people of Ghana. I do my work diligently. I will finish my work after four years if President Mahama gives me the opportunity and no one can point a finger at me. I am a Presbyterian and an Akuapem man who is content with what I have. If I came into government to make money, I would have joined the private sector where my people operate,” he said.

Adding that “maybe those they will deal with are there but for me, I am not afraid because I don’t engage in anything foul”.
