Renowned legal practitioner Martin Kpebu has alleged that national security operatives protect America-based Ghanaian broadcaster Kevin Taylor any time he returns to Ghana.

Martin Kpebu made this claim while criticising the arrest of people who make threats and allegations against President John Dramani Mahama (JM).

He pointed out that, though he is an admirer of President Mahama, the arrest of people for things they have said must be called out.

He went on to say that Kevin Taylor, despite all the things he said about former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his appointees, walks about freely and is even protected by national security operatives any time he is in Ghana.

“Look at Kevin Taylor. When he comes into Ghana, who protects him? Is it not national security?

“Do you know all the things Kevin Taylor has said against Akufo-Addo and his appointees? Yet when he comes to Ghana, it’s JM’s National Security that gives him protection,” Kpebu claimed.

He reiterated that these arrests must be called out, saying, “So this time, let us stop blowing hot and cold.”
