The NPP has been captured by a small group of greedy people which is using the blind members to amass wealth. Why the cabal hates to let the all genuine members participate in electing their representatives is mind boggling.

The only argument I see about the suit is the financial implications for political parties when it is successful. Otherwise it is the right thing to do. Lawyers will come with questions on "who is a member of good standing" just to complicate matters. Bottom line the parties can know who are members and which of them are in good standing by the dues they are to pay.

Victor say only the NPP wants the delegate system. So, what does the NDC want? The NPP may have a flawed delegate system, but at least the system offers competition and a semblance od democratic choice. The NDC has always imposed its presidential candidate without any election whatsoever. Rawlings selected and imposed Atta Mills. After Prof Mills' death, Asiedu Nketia imposed Mahama without election or even consultation. For the 2024 election, Mahama was imposed without a primary challenger. So, which system is better: election by delegates or imposition of a flag bearer without election? Is the NDC system democratic? Is it sustainable? We may soon find out from the selection of a flag bearer for the 2028 election.

If this nonsense is not stopped, the election of the Speaker of parliament, the third most powerful public officer will be next. It will be argued that Parliamentarians electing the Speaker is an infringement of the rights of all Ghanaians to elect their leaders; and against the spirit of our constitution. Any way if the Attorney General wants to determine how political parties run their affairs, then he must put his money where his mouth is. Government then must fund political party elections.
IF THE AG WANTS TO TELL POLITICAL PARTIES HOW TO CONDUCT THEIR ELECTIONS, THEN GOVERNMENT MUST FUND POLITICAL PARTY ELECTIONS; PURE AND SIMPLE 15 minutes ago
Mr Attorney General you better prepare to put your money where your mouth is, when you go to court to seek an order for political parties to obey your mode of elections.
