Such precedent could basically be used as a weapon by anyone to ban any man they dont like from holding office. Cases must however be determined on their merits. Perhaps, you don’t get it. The position now held by the shameless, randy Gyampo used to be held by Dr. Kofi Mbiah. As CEO of the Shippers Authority, he attends meetings of the International Maritime Authority (IMO) in London. Dr Mbiah was highly respected and he was elected chairman of the Legal Committee for two terms.
For that reason, delegates attending IMO meetings from all over the world are likely to want to know who is now in Dr Mbiah’s seat. And guess what they will find when they google Gyampo’s name? Sex for Grades!
In any serious country, Gyampo would not even be appointed CEO of the Dog Catchers Association.
