The veiled truth is that their favourite candidate did not win the primaries hence their naked hypocrisy. What was the purpose of the ¢100,000 the majority caucus presented to the bloody widow on the eve of the election? I'm not a fan of Baba Jamal or any of the candidates. I don't even know that constituency very well. But my joy is that, that spousal inheritance nonsense has been stopped right in its track by whatever means. Future widows will think twice before venturing into that foolish and unethical venture next time.

All these 'bribe for vote' is seemingly accepted as a norm. Since this Ayawaso issue surfaced, all the so called elites are endorsing it with daft statements like 'we all do it' and can't single out one person to be used as 'scapegoat'. If a candidate vying for political position is openly spending a fortune to bribe the voters, what do you expect if he/she wins? Just to loot from the state coffers and share with their cronies. And that has seemingly been the trend from 1992 to date. No wonder most people want to be 'Honourables' (a term to address shameless folks) to join the 'corrupt train' by hook or crook. Stealing from the poor? Very disheartened. Unsurprisingly, the country is full of religious charlatans labelled as 'Prophets' with the sole aim of predicting election results to get their fair share of the looted funds.
