We need a referendum to decide whether we want to replace the four years term. Many of us will vote against the term extension because it really doesn’t make sense. The black man is very lazy to say the least. It will not be long before some self centered people will start advocating for the presidential term to go up to seven years and so forth. Any serious person can move this country forward within four years at the most. So they should spare us this self centered attitude of dictating to us. I think Mahama may have regretted appointing this man as the chairman of the constitution review panel. He is bias towards Mahama and he is hell bent on crushing his future plans.

For 19 good years and after all the excruciating and yet failed Economic Recovery Programmes (ERP), Structural Adjustment Programmes (SAP), Divestiture of State-Owned Enterprises and the Programme of Action to Mitigate the Social Costs of Adjustment (PAMSCAD), the so-called Junior Jesus, “Ghana’s Messiah”, was able to move Ghana’s economy from US$4.222billion, of Dr Hilla Limann, to only US$4.983billion. A paltry increase of US$761million after all these 19 wasted years.

A four-year term, with strong state institutions, is enough for any serious president. Knowing very well that he or she has a limited time, will hit the ground running, wasting no time on gimmickry and propaganda as we are witnessing now.
