Yes, you're right. The Presidents Aide has got a very professional - and at the same time, a good natured mien. His posture and demeanor rhymes very well with that of the President. However, what I don't understand nor like is why in full military regalia, he always has to stand behind the President in full public view. I think this arrangement smacks of some kind of sense of insecurity which in reality does not really exist. In actuality, everything about President Mahama - the way he talks, speaks, walks and mingles with people, the way he often cracks self deprecating jokes in public speeches, his body language, his manner of dress - and more, all goes to show that he is a leader who is confident - in fact, over confident to a fault. Some particular leaders around the world could in fact, do well to take a cue from our trendy and much-admired President.

President Mahamas composure - like that of President Kwame Nkrumah, is simultaneously modest and benumbing to the extent as to psychologically disarm any foe or dissent. His Aide could therefore remain in close proximity within his precincts at all times but that old school manner of standing in rigor mortis style behind him for hours at a time, is a bit displeasing and inconsistent with the pleasant nature of the President, in my opinion.

In addition, it is obvious and clear that despite the immense power at his disposal, our President remains a normal natural and a socially obliging person who is devoid of any trace of the kind of petty and primitive attitudes of arrogance that has been and is the bane of many leaders around the world. For that, many thanks go to his father and mother who raised him in such a way that ultimately, has so positively affected the lives of virtually all Ghanaians - whether there may be some like it or not, and many more others around the world.
