There are more than 1000 reasons why the NPP is not qualified to criticize the NDC on any issue. Monkeys play by sizes. Simple. In fact, had it not been for the pervading support of tribal sympathies, they would not even have the moral right to be in parliament at all.

On this specific occasion however, I grudgingly have to admit and agree with the NPP that, both Ayariga and Dafeamokpor have let down their Party big time. And I agree with them for two major reasons. The first is that they themselves, seeing that the NDC is a relatively more disciplined and progressive Party, are dismayed and shocked as to why and how the two leading NDC proponents in Parliament should let down their Party and the Govt down in this most abysmal and disappointing way. The second reason is that it is as clear as daylight as why any person in this country today, would agree to the scrapping of the OSP and the SP. That such an obviously unwise political consideration should come from the two leading functionaries of the NDC is almost frightening. This raises fundamental questions and the specter as to whether the President, the NDC Party and their majority in parliament are all dislocated and out of touch with each other? Does the NDC Party machinery hold frequent durbars - as they should do, with their majority members in parliament as well as with the President to determine major Party policies and their validity at any given time? Do they meet to evaluate their performance as the Party in govt? Do they meet to determine the infrastructure, human resource development, finances and future prospects of the Party? I strongly suspect that given the way that their Chairman, Asiedu Nketia, is running helter-skelter all over the place in his futile bid to become President in the not too distant future - and the Gen. Secretary's mumu posture that, they don't.

This leaves good old President Mahama assuming the role of one man thousand and this will not enable him to offer optimum performance as the President.
