I really cannot understand why some people like to belittle, demean and look down on the military when they take over extremely corrupt civilian govts who over-reach their "democratic" limits and authority - which in itself, amounts to a constitutional coup.

When Ouattara decided to violate the Ivorian constitution by going for a third term which in actual fact constituted a constitutional coup, the most enthusiastic sympathizer of that heinous act and regime was none other than the most incompetent and apparently the most corrupt President ever known in Africa, His Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo. If my memory serves me right, he was at the time, the Regional Chairman of ECOWAS to boot. Sometimes I wonder how the fear of shame and disgrace does not prevent us from misconducting ourselves and putting ourselves in bad public light. How can one say that he or she does not like military coups whilst at the same time we applaud and associate with diabolical civilian govts. It shows a total disrespect for the citizens of any such country.
