In the first place, when the 1992 Constitution was promulgated Britain did not say it was an undemocratic constitution, that was also about Ghana's 1956, 1969, 1979 and 1992 Constitutions.
Britain is a monarchy, with the king or queen ruling for life, the monarchy is not elected, but inherited.
Britain was however against Ghana's 1964 Constitution because it made Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah president for life,as the Queen of England Queen Elizabeth was the Queen of England and Scotland at that time and she reigned till 2023.
That was 57 years after Britain declared Ghana's 1964 constitution not to be democratic. According to Britain's view of democracy, Britain can have a president for life, but Ghana cannot.
That they say is democracy. Also in 1964 Britain did not take into consideration that it was Ghanaians who decided through universal adult suffrage to have president for life.
It is on record that Britain, US and their allies sought to overthrow the CPP government led by Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah even before 6th March, 1957 when Ghana was granted independence.
So, the issue has nothing to do with democracy,but that Britain and the British want to have a puppet government in Ghana which will be at its bait and call.
Surface to say that, whatever the British journalist does or writes, he must look at Ghana through the lenses of he 1992 Constitution and not through myths and fairytales.
