1. Inflation reduction & macro‐economic stabilisation

Inflation dropped from ~23.8% in December 2024 to ~11.5% by August 2025.

The Ghanaian cedi appreciated considerably, and for a period was named by Bloomberg the best-performing currency.

Upgrades in Ghana’s sovereign credit rating have been reported, signalling improving investor confidence.

2. “Reset Agenda” rollout

The government initiated what they call the Reset Agenda to restructure Ghana’s economic foundations, stabilize currency, restore public trust.

3. Tax/levy reforms and relief

Several unpopular taxes were abolished: the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy), emissions levy, betting tax.

There was also a review of taxes/levies on industrial and agricultural imports.

4. Reduction in government size / efficiency & governance reforms

The ministry benches (number of ministers & deputies) were reduced to a capped ~60, aiming for a leaner government.

Instituted a Code of Conduct for government appointees, with limits on perks (for example limiting first-class air travel, satellite TV, etc.).

5. Anti-corruption measures / accountability

Investigations into previous unresolved criminal cases (e.g. violence at elections, murders, etc.).

Implementing audits and probes of past regimes under what’s described as “Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL)”.

6. Environmental protection & addressing illegal mining

Moves to ban illegal mining (“galamsey”) in forest reserves and water bodies; new taskforces; reclamation of degraded land; environmental initiatives such as “Tree for Life” and “Blue Water Initiative”.

Establishment of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) to centralize and regulate the gold trade, especially among small-scale miners.

7. Social interventions and education reforms

Launched “One Million Coders” programme to train youth in tech/digital skills.

Free tertiary education for persons with disabilities; efforts to support vulnerable groups.

He came back to encourage Galamsay in our river bodies that he brought the Arabs but more importantly the Chinese to come and destroy our environment, especially our water bodies and soil. Now people have to buy and use bottled water to even cook. Our rivers have turned into Brown Clay in color. Was it not Mahama who introduced them? And the Chinese are also felling our very expensive and very old trees for export to China. Our Chiefs, Police, and the community can do nothing about it because Mahama brought them and has given them his blessings. Very sad that Ghana has been doomed. Was it Akuffo Addo who brought the Chinese to Ghana to start the Galamsay business in Ghana? Rawlings and Kuffour did not do that. Mills also didn’t do that. Blame Mahama for the rise in Galamsay in our waterways.

He knew so much about Rawhide Rawlings since his YOR KE GARI days. Rawlings’ uselessness can be easily be realized on how a Presidential Pilot had to live on credited YOR KE GARI. The furniture he had in his room were Stolen used Military Aircraft furniture. Yes, but became the Dictator of Ghana. How did he finance the education of his children at universities in the United Kingdom? He told Ghanaians that his friend sponsored them but could never tell Ghanaians which of the friends did that. He can’t tell us it was Gaddaffi. He sponsored his own children’s education with stolen Ghana’s money. Yet he put very respectful and responsible Senior Military Officers some of who like Kutu Acheampong had been retired from the Military. Yes, his brutal Anlo Ewe and Northern Soldiers were tasked to arrest Kutu who was at his village, and Afrifa from his town at Krobo, framed up charges against against them at his Kangaroo courts. With the help of the Tsikatas and Boakye Djan, they were found guilty of the accusations and were not given any rights to Appeal but sentenced to Firing Squad and the Teshie Military Shooting Range. That was very unfortunate, horrific, and barbaric .It was excellent that they also did not die honorably. Now Konadu who was the most feared woman in Ghana has been undermined and sidelined by Asiedu Nketsia who as a results of greed wants to be the President of Ghana. A fraudster like that was made to have all the freedom under Jeremiah John Rawlings. Yes, the Block Making contract he awarded to himself to dam the Volta in the North of Ghana. Rawlings finally heard about that fraud but because they were all operating on the same wavelength, Efo Jeremiah John Rawlings did nothing about that. Anyway, Rawlings also used Military Planes to teach her daughter who was very young and not part of the Military how to fly a Plane. I can’t imagine what Efo Jeremiah John Rawlings would have done if any of the Head of States and Senior Military Officers ahead of him had done that. That horrible monster would have killed them without trial as was done to B.B Bismarck who was chief of Aburi. Rawlings thought that nobody would ever know. He did not realize that walls have ears. When he went with a Military Helicopter to abduct him during Curfew hours, some people at Aburi heard the noise that the Military Plane made and others saw who Piloted the Plane at the Curfew hours. Who could Pilot a Military Helicopter at that time of the night during Curfew hours. Very excellent he was killed by the tiny Covid virus, and Boakye Djan, the mastermind of the murders, tortures and inhuman treatments of many innocent Ghanaians, especially the Military Officers also lived a lonely and abandoned life in his later days in his village. None of his Partners and Comrades in crime and evil remembered and visited him and he died miserably.

Even one pays taxes on the amount of lotteries staked and if one wins, one has to pay taxes on what one has won. If this is introduced in the Ghana lottery situation, the country is going to reap so much money. Then, it will discourage many who have become addicted to lottery from staking. I shall support any reasonable form of taxation on lottery. It may discourage some people from dealing in lotteries and find more credible ways of making revenue.
