Yeah, the minister went too far in the criticism of the senator recently. If a senator has chastised because he sees Ghana as a beggar who comes to America always for aid without offering any concessions, then another ranking foreign member of parliament, concerned citizen or any diplomat could have responded to the senator but not he ,hon Ablakwah. The minister is the face of Ghana, mediate and resolve issues in the international arena for the country.So if he picks fight with other countries like mighty America, the country will find it difficult to engage meaningfully. There was no need for his comment on : slavery, colonialism and imperialism. Ghana is like a poor man who goes to rich man( America )all the time to beg, so this year , the rich but broke America is saying that no freebies, just pay us our debts. It is shameful but truthful comment from the senator. Ghana, we must be careful not to create enemies. As Kwame Nkrumah country, do not aligned with anyone but make friends to promote development for the people. The NDC must never put ideologies in their foreign policies for it will backfire. China and Russia will never help anyone for free. The minister advisors must talk to him to control temper and put Ghana first globally.

USA is imposing visa restrictions on 36 countries because their citizens overstay their visas. % threshold acceptable for visa overstay is 15%. Ghana is at 21% now that is why we are being hit with the restrictions.

The 36 countries identified in the new cable are: Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Benin, Bhutan, Burkina Faso, Cambodia, Cameroon, Cape Verde, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Dominica, Ethiopia, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Malawi, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, South Sudan, Syria, Tanzania, Tonga, Tuvalu, Uganda, Vanuatu, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
NOTE 23 out of the 36 are African countries
