What kind of development? You mean the political patronage, poor human settlement planning/layouts, haphazard constructions, unpaved roads, poor/nonexistent drainage systems, poor sanitation, and the lack of other basic services and facilities (water, electricity, markets, lorry stations, etc)?

The problem with we Ghanaians is that we don’t reason, we turn everything into politics and that’s not the way to build a nation. Everybody wants development in his hometown so why would you appoint somebody from elsewhere to go and be the head of another region or district that he doesn’t come from it’s doesn’t make sense.because Ghana is under developed.Who will develop someone else hometown and leave his own. All MMDCE should be appointed from their own home region this is what is called a regional balance and not a ga man to Asante Bono to Accra Ho to Takoradi what’s that. Whatever resources the person get he will take it to his home town and do nothing for the region that he is in charge sometimes we should forget about the books and use common sense approach.

Nominating the wrong person for the position of MMDCE is rather the most present and potent threat to development. Rejecting such nominees by the Assembly members is a major boost to development.

The NDC is a big party with broad base support . If you are by some means becomes the MP should your in-law be the DCE.? You and your barking dogs must stop using the media to malingn opposing views . That idiot who sits at Ahutor FM and spew trash must be checked . He is not doing the party any good at the Shai- Osudoku constituency. Yes the constituency must develop but leadership of the local economy must not be be limited to families and friends . Go for competent people , they are abundant in the NDC party .

Once there is free and fair selection, all nominees will be approved. Otherwise there will be challenges in the process.
