Exactly my thoughts. Since kuffour foreign ministers have become travel agents for gallivanting presidents. Total waste of time and money, plus security risks.

If the wishy-washy AU is going to be represented only by their current compromised rep to the US, not only should this ring alarm bells, but it also indicates that Ghanas ambassador - if a new appointment has been made, should be a more suitable rep for Ghana at this event. If not, Okudjeto Ablakwa, a globally known Pan Africanist and currently the Foreign Minister of Ghana, would be an apt representative.

Mahama should avoid being easily drawn into frivolous travels abroad. There is too much work for him to do at home to RESET the economy. If he thinks the Pan African movement is as important as it truly is, then he should rather assist and encourage the movements on home grounds to blossom into respectable international organizations that will slso attract patronage from around the world.

Why do you think that she was handpicked from a population of 34 million Ghanaians, to take up this job?
