  Thank you. The pampering they recieved is the same as those expats who didn't want to come to Africa and serve in their colonial government and had to be offered very juicy entitlements to pacify them

  What benefits? They are even getting ready to increase those benefits which they claim is not enough. The real benefits of being in parliament is either to protect the interests of, or, push for laws that benefit certain business sectors in exchange for hush money or other monetary benefits. A good example that inadvertently leaked, is the in which "a certain" top businessman paid off virtually all the members of the 8th parliament not to take a certsin justifiable action against the govt.

  I’m not a fan of Kwakye-Ofosu, however, what he said is true. This happens in both NDC and NPP. I heard former NPP MP saying that they should stop using delegates to select Parliamentary candidates. I think they should look into this because Ghana’s parliament is becoming too cheap for people to go if they are able to get a sponsorship to give away money to their so called party members.
