About two decades ago, a Chinese government official was interviewed on TV and asked what the first priority of the Chinese government was? His answer was, POWER! Second priority? He answered POWER! Third priority? He answered POWER! Fourth priority? He again answered POWER. The smart journalist got the drift and moved on to other areas. Simply put, power is a sine qua non to any serious country's development agenda; the 24-hour economy policy, among others, will thrive and succeed on energy. Therefore every effort must be put into increasing and stabilising the energy situation for a smooth take-off.

The incoming administration will handle the Dumsor without difficulty. MPs from conflicts areas should not be given ministerial appointments. DCEs & MCEs should not also be appointed to serve the areas they come from.

I always maintained that sinister and criminal Akuffo-Addo and the NPP intentionally failed to invest in the energy sector to turn around to accuse any incoming or succeeding NDC government, especially JDM of dumsor, just as Kuffour's government did in the past. Moreover, the NPP's most touted flagship SHS program is loaded with huge and outstanding debts owed to food suppliers, not forgetting the Eurond Bond and DDEF debts. Akuffo-Addo must try to clear, at least, his SHS debts before leaving office, or his end-of-service remunerations must be used to clear those debts. It's wicked to leave the cuckoo's eggs in someone's nest.
