The review process should result in the limitation of free SHS to day schools or with the payment of PTA dues to supplement government's efforts for boarding SHS. The whole concept of the E-blocks was to grant access to free day community SHS just as pertains in the advanced world, including the rich United States, the UK and elsewhere. Free boarding SHS is simply unsustainable!

What that supposed Ashanti Regional NDC Communication Officer is ranting about is pure, unadulterated nonsense!!!

Mr Seth Terkper has every every right and every authority as a Ghanaian -- and a concerned one, for that matter -- to publicly voice his views on public policies of Ghana! As the news reporter rightly put it, what Mr Terkper said is his suggestion. His suggestion on the issue is not the NDC party's position; nor are they the president-elect's!

If the president-elect has during the campaign made utterances suggesting a commitment to the free SHS, it still does not debar Mr Seth Terkper from proffering a variation on it!

If not for anything at all, Mr Terkper stands in far better and stronger position to pronounce reasonably and responsibly on economic policies in the country. Not only is he a technocrat; he has also ever sat in the chair of minister of finance presiding over fiscal policies. In other words, he is well, and far better, informed than you minions to pronounce reasonably and responsibly on fiscal challenges of the country!

For both your information and your food for thought, Ghana's current fiscal challenges are very, very and very huge! There is absolutely no way can they be tackled by populist appeals that make for good-feeling but hardly for sound fiscal policies!

It's a lie. Rather the old such as Akuffo Addo were and are the bane of this republic. Virtually all heads of institutions and many more CEOs disappeared into watching from a distance. Can you see they started reappearing? Such is the nature of NDC's so-called elders. The same thing happened between 2001-2008 compelling JJ to speak against such characters during Mills first inaugural address in parliament. Look this victory is won by the young men and women.
