Bawumia's attempt to mend defragmented glasses in the Ashanti Region failed before it was started. It is the reason why he has visited the region 17-18 times in less than 2 months while at the same time using prominent Ashantis and chiefs to persuade disgruntled voters.

The desperate NPP's strategy has been to keep its incompetent and clueless flagbearer Aplanke Bawumia confined to the Ashanti Region where chiefs will come out and sing false praises of him and give the Ghanaians the perception that their NPP flagbearer is indeed a a highly accomplished man. Truth is, Ghanaians already know that incompetent Aplanke Bawumia is a monumental failure, and confining him to a safe NPP enclave where NPP crowds come out to portray a false picture will not serve to fool Ghanaians. NPP is desperate and in a panic mode, for the NPP knows that incompetent Aplanke Bawumia is having a hard time trying to sell his digitalized lies and NPP recycled broken promises to Ghana voters.
