FREE is good but must be Qaulity too, NPP gave free but no Qaulity in it.

For once, I agree with Bawumia. However if he thinks so, why has he been talking about giving money to pay for phone bills and those stupid promises? It is not just education and going through schooling but rather, getting the right curriculum that can produce students who can think and solve basic problems. Once you have this foundation, you can build whatever form of education on it. Mass education is extremely harmful because it produces half educated people. We have a lot in Ghana now some of whom occupy high positions in government. We can see the results, a messy and chaotic country where things don’t work. Design better curriculum and retrain our teachers.

How can education lift people out of poverty in a nation with an economy that gives no room to create the opportunities to reduce poverty? China did not introduce free education to lift its citizens out of poverty. It is the economic policies of the government that lifted millions of Chinese out of poverty. What is the use of free education if it produces millions of educated Ghanaians with no prospects to lift themselves out of poverty? Education alone can't lift people out of poverty. A good,vibrant economy is needed to do that.
