We are in deep sh!t really. Converting institutions into universities is the single biggest reason for educational standards to fall. Do you have trained and qualified lecturers, do you have labs and science equipment, do you have qualified people and manage the school? Why won’t you just retrain the teachers and equip the institutions with qualified personnel and leave it as it is rather converting into universities? Because of our poor standards, most Ghanaian graduates are required to sit for an exams before admissions in most European universities. It wasn’t so previously and the reason is our falling standards of education. Why do we always talk big but do practically nothing to match it?

I now believe why ex-president Mahama said Ghanaians have short memory and it was one of the reasons why Ex-president Mahama cancelled NURSING and Teacher Training Allowance.
And as at now all Teacher Training colleges have already been upgraded to College Universities and all Teacher Training college universities are now doing Degree programs.
