I was shocked to see grown men turned into beggars, and the level of lawlessness in the country is over the bar. Joyce Bawa is spot on because about 85 percent of Ghanaians have become poor and very corrupt to the core. We are in a situation whereby security men at various facilities demand money for no justifiable cause. No church with the moral fabric will collect money from corrupt politicians to live large. This country is a joke!

Anyone who has been listening to Bawumia knows he's not just promising insensitives, but has already outlined his economic policy. Whether we like it or not his current role as a vice president is limited to advising the president. He can by his own do nothing unless granted the authority of the president. Besides, it won't make sense for anyone to think that Akufo-Ado will do everything Bawumia says, because whether you're an expert of something or not you have your own view of how it should be run and will sometimes be inclined to your instincts if you have the power to do so. Even the patient who knows nothing about medicine sometimes think the doctor isn't doing his job well. That's part of human psychology. Bawumia as a president won't be the same as a vice president. Ask John Dramani when was president his language changed from "We're doing ..." to "I have instructed...." that's the difference it makes. My worry isn't giving power to the NDC, but the fact that power will go to the same person who inherited a good economy and destroyed everything, handing over a broke economy. It's insane to think a person who couldn't sustain a good economy with the absolute powers vested in him can now resurrect a covid striken economy. NDC should have known that and advised themselves. Bawumia is a better choice. That's the bitter fact! You can disagree with me in public but I know when you touch your pillow at night and solemnly reflect your inner self will tell you the truth even though you might reject it.

What do you expect from a huighly mis-educated and clueless Aplanke? Isn't it this same Aplanke who proposed building a hostel in Accra for Kayayei just because most of the kayayei hail from his district? Instead of having the sense to tell the folks responsible for the causing their children and women to engage in kayayei that they're not helping themselves by foolishly following certain customary and religious practices that grant them the right to marry as many wives as they care to or just four based on religion, Bawumia will rather waste tax payers' money on a hostel. There are other folks in Accra struggling to find housing due to low wages, so why just decide to aid the kayayei alone? Now Bawumia is proposing giving incentives to churches as a ploy to harvest Christian votes. A prudent government will rather give incentives to market traders and small businesses, but not to churches that already enjoy tax exemption status.
