Kuffour is the oldest most experienced Ghanaian politician and understands the dynamics of leadership and time. If the founders of the party behaved the way Alan did, there wouldn't be NPP under which Kuffour became the president and Alan, the trade minister. Imagine prof Adu Boahene and other heavyweights losing but still remained loyal. Even Kuffour lost it once but he stayed loyal. What Alan did is no different from what lucifer/iblis did. But No man can change the will of the Almighty. As for the NDC, the least said about them the better. They don't read, so are struggling to find the connect between digitalization and the economy. They are simply far behind contemporary governance. They can't do any policy involving critical thinking apart from building roads, interchanges, schools, etc which the lowest IQ president can do.

It means that we need a paradigm shift. Besides, it's pure illiteracy to say someone built that, how many did you build? Do you really think governance should be reduced to such childish competition of number of infrastructure without needs assessment? That's why NDC is a problem for Ghana. A competent government can't go about building new universities when there's no evidence that we have run out of capacity or when we can strengthen the existing ones to deliver. A competent government understand the 'Scale of preference' in scarcity of resources. Think about policies which will drive economic and social change not the usual old tricks which doesn't help us. We are moving straight into the future!

Every digitilization drive was backed with digital infrastructure and digital application. If u want to develop a digital economy u need digital infrastructure as the foundation. And the same applies to those countries who've developed their digital space
Go back into the history of the 4th republic and do a careful study the evolution of digitilization in Ghana from Rawlings till date... you'll see it was JDM who did a heavy lifting in digitilization.

You Guys got it wrong all along. President Kuffour was for party and country and not a particular individual. He has said it over and over again that it was for the interest and sustainability of the NPP party that he preferred Alan to lead and not because of Alan himself per se. it was always about the NPP and the nation. Since Alan has broken away, the objective of upholding the NPP can no longer be vested in Alan. It was never about Alan. It was about his conviction that given Alan and Nana Addo, Alan was more likely to espouse the values of the NPP. It now appears Dr Bawumia is the only person this given moment to fulfill President Kuffour’s vision for his party and country. It could have been anybody who has been selected by the party to lead. Kuffour will throw his weight behind anybody chosen by the NPP to lead it. Even when Nana Addo won, he accepted it even though that was initially not his preference. And shall we say his fears have been realized? What does Ghana think about Nana Adddo’s presidency? Has his presidency left the NPP weaker or stronger? That has always been the concerned of President Kuffour.

Kuffour is on record to have said that (paraphrasing)" a custodian in a ruling party has more power than a big executive in the non-ruling party".
That is one of the reasons Kuffour has not been an effective statesman. He has almost always put party first.
There is absolutely no way Kuffour would endorse Alan PUBLICLY. Because to do that would destroy the NPP and the more-likely to win Bawumiah.
Everybody knew that Akuffo Addo and Kuffour didn't get along well.....which is no news. But Akuffo Addo had Kuffour's support because of party solidarity. That's a fact.
