Because from the letter, John Mahama was appointed as a member of the Team but not as the Chairman of the Team. So It's just to deceive ignorant Ghanaians, and propaganda that the NDC want Ghanaians to believe that a Vice President is the Chairman of the Economic Management Team as if it's stipulated in the 1992 Constitution. From the letter, it's only the President who appoints members of the EMT, and he can appoint any member of the EMT to be the Chairman not necessary the Vice President. So from what has been stated in the letter, the Vice President can be appointed as a member of the EMT but not automatically a Chairman of the EMT.
