The New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer hopeful, Kennedy Agyapong, has called on party sympathisers to give him the opportunity to lead Ghana for at least four years as president.

According to Kennedy Agyapong, he is appealing to the party's grassroots to support his bid to become the NPP's flagbearer for the 2028 general elections.

He urged Ghanaians to assess his leadership within a four-year term to determine his competence.

Speaking to a section of party faithful in a video shared on social media, the former Member of Parliament for Assin Central constituency emphasised his commitment to national development and creating wealth within the party.

He stated that one of his key priorities is to empower businessmen and women in the party to achieve financial stability.

"Please try me for at most four years. If I am unable to deliver, then you can vote me out.

"If you vote me out, the person who follows me will learn from that. So, let us develop our country and our party. We need to create businesspeople and wealthy individuals from our party.

"If we had more businesspeople, someone would have catered for all the costs here," he said.
