Ras Mubarak Launches Campaign

Mr. Ras Mubarak, the Parliamentary Candidate for the Ablekuma North Constituency of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC) has called on party faithful and the public to register in the forthcoming Voter Registration Exercise.

He urged parents to encourage their children who would be eligible this year to vote to register to be able to exercise their franchise in the December polls.

Mr. Mubarak made the call at the official launch of his 2012 Parliamentary campaign on the theme: “Capture the Seat and Maximize the Votes for the Better Ghana Agenda”, at the weekend in Accra.

He said the NDC would do all it could to prevent the New Patriotic Party from regaining power in the general elections and encouraged party members to work hard to improve their party’s fortunes.

He noted the party was creating opportunities for national development and would continue when returned to power to finish the Better Ghana Agenda promised Ghanaians.

He, therefore, called on party members in the Ablekuma North Constituency to avoid political insults in their campaigns for peace to prevail across the nation.

Party stewards who graced the occasion to extend their support for the aspiring Member of Parliament included Mr Alex Segbefia, Mr Edward Anann, Mr Koku Anyidoho, Mr Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, deputy Minister of Information, Mr Ade Coker and Nii Lantey Vanderpuiye.

The whole atmosphere at the campaign grounds was charged with supporters dressed in party colours and singing and chanting the name of Ras Mubarak.
