‘Prez Mills’s Good Work Will See NDC Through’

-Okity-Duah Assures Party Faithful

ic Congress (NDC) Parliamentary Aspirant for the Ledzokuku Constituency has urged the party to fight on to victory.

She observes that the NDC has all it takes to re
tain power in the forthcoming elections if the party works hard to sustain the goodwill reposed in it by the people; and advises the NDC members to put behind them any backlash there might be after the party primaries, since this may, directly or indirectly work against the party’s march to victory in December 2012.
Mrs. Benita Sena Okity-Duah made these remarks in a short speech when she addressed party faithful at the Krowor Constituency, where a Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Okley Kwei-Kumah has organized a party over the weekend, to thank his constituents for retaining him as Parliamentary Candidate for the 2012 general elections.

“It is God who ordains; and with the primaries over and its chip falling where each belongs, it is paramount and prudent we put all hands on deck, and to face the common foe which is the New Patriotic Party (NPP)”; Mrs. Okity-Duah suggests.

She preaches peace within the NDC. “Let us broker the peace under the umbrella, since we are all one family. There should be no discrimination, be it tribal or creed, under the umbrella. Let us campaign without insults. It is important we tell the people what we are capable of doing for them when voted to power”.
The Ledzokuku Constituency Parliamentary Candidate assures the party faithful that there is no way the NDC would lose the forthcoming elections, since the NDC government of President Prof. John Evans Atta Mills has already laid down a foundation of a monumental development of the nation, which the people would want him build on.
“God has, in His own wisdom sieved us out for the job ahead, during the primaries; and supported by the good work being prosecuted by His Excellency President John Evans Atta Mills, the victory will be ours come December 2012.
On his part the Member of Parliament for the Krowor Constituency, Hon. Okley Nii Kwei Kumah urges the NDC member to exercise patience in all things, so that the party would remain focused on it campaign.
He calls on all the losing sides to come together with him in the interest of the party, so they can fight the common foe; and urged all members to march their household to the registration centres when the voters’ register is opened on the 24th of March, 2012.
“Know that you may do the party work more than any other person; you may be doing everything for the party to win power: But if you do not register, you can not vote. So as soon as the voters’ register is opened, please, gather the household to the registration centres to register”: Hon Kwei Kumah urges.
The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ledzokuku-Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA), Hon. Daniel Amartey Mensah, addressing the gathering NDC party-faithful, reminded them that the party’s interest is bigger than personal interest.
The MCE suggests that the NDC needs to project interest of the party as well as the developmental successes chalked by the government in the last three years.
He told the gathering that, by March every government school in the municipality is going to enjoy school-feeding and enumerated project put up and those being done, including school buildings and dormitories, and the Nungua Senior High School and hospitals.
Meanwhile, the Old Cadres Association of the June ‘4’ and 31st December Revolution in the Ledzokuku Constituency have pledged their unflinching support for the NDC Parliamentary Candidate, Mrs. Benita Sena Okity-Duah.
The group which visited the NDC candidate to formally congratulate her on her election at the local primaries as the party’s candidate and interact with her on her programme of campaign activities, was upbeat about the NDC retaining the Ledzokuku parliamentary seat. It pledged to do all in its capability to see victory happen come December, 2012.
The spokesperson of the group, Comrade Adashie Amarh, assures the Mrs. Okity-Duah on behalf of the group that, with the primaries over, what every true member of the NDC should be thinking of is victory in 2012.
Comrade Amarh observes that the misdirected clamoring of the losing sides in the aftermath of the Ledzokuku constituency primaries is just a storm which is almost passed.
It will be recalled that, Mr. Adashie Amarh , immediately after the Ledzokuku primaries, helped create an uproar that nearly painted a picture as if the Teshie Traditional Council was against the newly elected candidate. A question to that effect, Mr. Amarh replies he was misinformed.
