What good thing have we been able to achieve with our independence. Britain was colonized for more than one thousand years and that did not destroy that nation. With our hasty independence, are our compatriots not risking their lives to reach the whitemans country and offer themselves to be enslaved by the whiteman? In today's Ghana, look at how we honour those who have ever been enslaved by the whiteman. Is this what you call independence. Look at how we also cherish second-hand clothing from the whiteman's country to the extent of even using towels used by corpses in whiteman's country. Is this what you call independence?

My heart still bleeds if awards are still dished out to people for doing nothing and this poor soldier who was shot several times and still have more than twenty bullets in his body is not been honoured.
