Ghana’s President Hurls Insults At Obasanjo At African Forum In London - bloomberg
There was near pandemonium and confusion at the Annual Global African Investment Forum held in Westminster, Central London after a heated exchange between Ghana’s President John Mahama and former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo degenerated into open insults. This was due to General Obasanjo openly accusing the Ghanaian president and his government of blackmailing and collecting bribes from Nigerian businessmen in Ghana, buying numerous properties in Nigeria and South Africa and financially contributing 12 million dollars to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign last year. This infuriated President Mahama who lost his temper and pointing his finger, called General Obasanjo an ” idiot” and a “silly buffoon”.It took other ministers present as well as Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni to calm tempers and usher President Mahama to a nearby room. The forum, which takes place from 1st to 3rd December is attended by African Heads of States, Ministers, Private equity firms and investors to discuss opportunities for investment and development in African Economies.
Culled from Bloomberg.

This defence is so childish. What childish analogy. The best way to defend such a thing is to keep mute.
If independece is associated with Smocks, then why did you not make an anniversary smock instead of cloth?

Apart from the obvious untruths by the president about the history of the struggle for independence, the constant oozing of saliva from the president's mouth which was appearing on the sides of his mouth was an eyesore. This may be a sign of old age or disease. I think he should be advised to apply his handkerchief more often when speaking. Thanks

They have just blown away 20 million tax payers money while many people died of hunger on that same day. That cloth will be thrown in a dust bin soon. And we want God to come to our aid?

Indeed some Ghanaians would continue to be fooled by their political masters. Some are so quick to contend against anything about their masters even if it's objective.

The president's handlers should find him handkerchief. It's not unusual to use it during a speech if he has a problem.

While this Sackey guy is giving all these childish excuses,Abu Jinapor on the other hand is giving another childish excuse that the president wore the smoke deliberately to represent the Northerners as if Northerners don't wear cloth, they better keep their mouths shut.
