What a "competent" start to a "competent" speech from a "competent" government who just three months a go credited themselves of having the men and women(Atiko Djaba & co) to accomplish the task of governance.
So far we have been given only plagiarised inaugural speech and "We are met here today"... independence day speech. Every great opportunity given to Nana to showcase Ghana becomes an avenue of disgrace to Ghanaians. Any way what else do you expect from a third class graduate and a certificateless lawyer?

The United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC) was the first political party to be formed in Ghana on August 4, 1947. Those who formed the party were made up of 5. They were Joseph Boakye Danquah, Ebenezer Ako Adjei, Edward Akuffo Addo, Emmanuel Obetsebi-Lamptey and William Ofori Atta. Their Secretary Paa Grant who got to know about Kwame Nkrumah who was then in overseas, wrote to him to come and help with the fight towards independence. Paa Grant personally sent an amount of 100 pounds to Nkrumah to come down to Ghana. He arrived in Ghana by boat at Takoradi and Paa Grant personally welcomed him at the harbor and took him to his house where he stayed for sometime. It was then that in addition of Nkrumah, the members of UGCC became 6, so they were tagged the BIG 6. In one of their meetings in Paa Grant's house the members decided to ask for independence in 10 years while Nkrumah insisted that he wanted it NOW. Because of this, there were disagreements between Nkrumah and other members of the UGCC, Because of that he then broke and formed the CPP in June 12, 1949 with a number of young members he Nkrumah mobilized to be come members and later contested the elections and won to become the Prime minister. In 1957 Ghana became independent from the British. His attitude changed because of opposition and later introduced the Prevention Detection Act. Members of the UGCC protected against it and because of the hatred of Nkrumah towards J.B. Dankwah who criticized him, he arrested him and put him in jail at Nsawam prison until he died. Nkrumah never formed the first party CPP. It was UGCC that was formed first in 1947 and CPP in 1949. Nkrumah was very ungrateful because of what he did. No wonder he was overthrown in 1966 led by Major-General Emmanuel Kwasi Kotoka and they formed the National Liberation Council (NLC) and ask General Ankrah as the head.

What irresponsible patapaa akuffo addo used his last chance to contest to promise ghanaians to cajole them to win is unprecedented in history. No leader has ever promised electorates like that in history. His campaign promises were so huge and abnormal because he saw it as his last chance he could contest for election in ghana. So he decided to say anything to win. Therefore going by what he promised ghanaians l was expecting him to win at least 90% of the votes cast and for that matter the 53% was very abyssmal. Mahama did not promise anything serious because he didnt want to promise was was unrealistic yet mahama was able to secure 44% kudos president mahama! As it stands today if election is be conducted akuffo patapaa cant win because the floating voters have regretted voting for that invisible hooligans leader.
