The Shipowners and Agents Association of Ghana (SOAAG) has asked its customers to use it's online and e-platforms to transact business as a measure to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Madam Perpetua Osei-Bonsu, Executive Secretary, SOAAG, in a press statement indicated “we, however, wish to stress on the need for customers to do away with physical presence at our offices and encourage them to use member’s on-line / e-platforms”.

Madam Osei-Bonsu reminded the customers to make use of online banking platforms to effect their payments while entreating them to cooperate with authorities to ensure safety during these difficult times.

She added that SOAAG was concerned about the wellbeing of both its staff and customers and had therefore put in measures including the use of e-platforms.

Other measures, she said, were actions to reduce the number of staff reporting to work within this period as well as the availability of safety measures to ensure accessibility of essential basic protection to customers who had the need to call at their offices.

“For those who need to report to work, members are also taking necessary precautions to ensure safety”.
