to serve the area and its environs of their health needs. Dr. Anthony Akoto-Osei, Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, who announced this, said plans were far advanced for the construction of the clinic.

Dr. Akoto-Osei, who is the Member of Parliament (MP) for Old Tafo, was speaking at a forum organised by Pankrono chapter of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) at Pankrono in the Kumasi metropolis on Sunday. The forum was to enable the MP to brief them on the work of parliament and for him also to know of their problems and how best to solve them.

He said the clinic would help ease congestion at the Tafo Government Hospital. He told the people that the government alone cannot be solely responsible for all their socio-economic problems and it therefore, behoved them to initiate and contribute to the development of the area. Dr Akoto-Osei called on parents to concentrate meaningfully on the educational needs of their children, stressing that it is only when their children acquire education that they could positively contribute to the development of the country.
