2012 law graduates donate medical equipment to Mamprobi Polyclinic

As part of the efforts to reduce maternal death and support quality maternal care, a group of lawyers who graduated from the Ghana School of Law in 2012 have donated some medical equipment worth GH¢11,300 to the maternity ward of the Mamprobi polyclinic.

Speaking during the presentation on Monday 7th January, 2019, a representative of the group, call@12, explained that the donation was to support quality health care delivery.

Lamtiig Apanga Esq, however, urged the hospital management to uphold the highest standards of maintenance culture to ensure that the equipment are utilized for the benefit of the patients.

“The equipment is meant to support and promote delivery of quality healthcare. What we want from you is to ensure that these things are put into good use, we want the society to benefit from our widow's mite. Don’t shut them down in some store room or somewhere else,” he noted.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Administrator, Sophia Oware expressed appreciation to the Call@2012 group for their timely intervention. “This donation couldn’t have come at the better time than today, we really need all these things you have donated to us, and we are going to make them available as soon as possible.”

She also called on other stakeholders to support the clinic with equipment to improve quality health delivery as they hope to become a hospital come 2020.

The items donated include Operating lamp/Theatre Lamp, Patient monitor and Electric Suction Machine was presented to the polyclinic authorities.
