GOIL donates 100 hospital beds to GHS in Western region

Mr Martin Olu Davis, Head of Safety at Ghana Oil (GOIL) has said the company was concerned about the health and safety of the communities they operated in and would therefore continue to work at meeting their desired needs.

He said human resource was key to the growth of every business and that was the more reason why the company was committed to providing some health care facilities to support in quality healthcare delivery in the country.

The Head of Safety said this when the management of the company donated 100 hospital beds to the Ghana Health Service through the Ministry of Health for onward distribution to health facilities within the Western Region.

The beds were received by Dr Emmanuel Tinkorang, Regional Director of the Ghana Health Service together with Dr Richard Anthony, Acting Medical Director of the Effia-Nkwanta Hospital in Sekondi.

Dr Tinkorang expressed gratitude for the assistance and said organisations in the country needed to set good examples by supporting quality healthcare delivery in the country.

He mentioned physical infrastructure and ICT accessories as the key needs that the Region had to deal with.

Dr Anthony, Acting Medical Director of Effia-Nkwanta Hospital said it was about time the Region had a new regional hospital to cater for the growing healthcare needs of the Region and its people.
