Friends of Buah organize ‘Hepatitis B’ screening

The Ellembele District Health Directorate and Ekwie St Martin’s D’ Porres Mission Hospital have screened over150 residents of Kamgbule, a Muslim community in the Ellembele District of “Hepatitis B”.

The screening was organized by “Friends of Buah,” the Member of Parliament for Ellembele Mr Emmanuel Armah Kofi-Buah.

Mr Michael Quasie, Director of Operations for Friends of Buah, told the media that the exercise was geared towards complementing the numerous good works by Mr Kofi-Buah.

He said the screening exercise was held mainly to educate and encourage the people to check their health status periodically especially Hepatitis B.

Madam Elizabeth Conneh, District Director of Health, commended the group for their benevolence and called on others to emulate the charitable work of Friends of Buah.
