Consolidated Bank Ghana LTD. (CBG), as part of its strategy to promote community well-being, has screened over 500 people at the 4th community health outreach organised at the Charismatic Evangelistic Ministries (CEM) Church in North Legon, Accra.
Participants benefited from a range of health screenings, including blood pressure checks, pulse and vital assessments, cholesterol tests, diabetes screening and general health consultations.
The initiative is part of the Bank’s broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme to promote wellness, preventive healthcare, and community support. The exercise not only enabled members of the public to access free medical screenings but also offered valuable health education delivered by qualified health professionals.
Speaking to the media, the Managing Director of CBG, Dr. Naomi Wolali Kwetey, emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare.
“The purpose of this initiative is to support the public to regularly check their health and maintain a culture of preventive care, which is fundamental to everyone’s wellbeing. This forms part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, where we prioritize health in line with our core values and the Sustainable Development Goals.”
Dr. Kwetey explained that CBG deliberately chose the church as a strategic location to reach people who often struggle to find time for routine health checks due to demanding work schedules.
“We recognise that many people are extremely busy during the week and often postpone essential health checks. By organising this screening at a church where many people gather, we can reach a larger number of individuals, and judging by today’s turnout, that objective has been achieved.”

She further reiterated the Bank’s belief that financial well-being must go hand-in-hand with physical well-being: “We believe good health is just as important as strong finances.”
Participants who spoke to the media expressed appreciation to CBG Bank for bringing healthcare services directly to their community.
The Bank is expected to continue the health screening programme at other locations as part of its ongoing community engagement activities.
