Agrofood expert Dr. Nana Achiaa Ankrah has admonished parents to be cautious about what their children consume because the food a child consumes could serve as either the safest and most essential medicine for growth or could even be a slow poison.
According to her, parents should be circumspect about the type of food they feed their children in order to prevent any form of deficiency it may be associated with. She stressed that choosing the right meal for a child is very prudent to ensure that the child is acquiring the necessary nutrients embedded in a particular meal.
Highlighting the need for ensuring nutritious food for a child, she stated that nutrient-dense food must contain vitamins, minerals, complex carbohydrates, lean protein, and healthy fats. Dr. Ankrah underscored that consuming enough whole grains and cereal products provides children's bodies with the essential vitamins and minerals they need at the right levels.
"The world's happiest kids are the ones that are fed well, and by that, when kids are fed with the type of food they love and cherish most, parents become stress-free and hence, embark on their daily activities without having to worry about them," she expatiated.
Scoring Arise Foods as a key distributor of quality family foods, she described the products as natural organic foods filled with vitamins and essential nutrients aimed at boosting children's health, wellness, and energy levels. Dr. Ankrah addressed that it is important to continually prioritize children's food in order to nourish them with the necessary nutrients for essential growth.
The Agrofood Expert said Arise Foods is a brand introduced by Saliscom with the primary motive of curbing malnutrition among children in Ghana.
