MP advises health worker to be role models

Nyinahin (Ash), May 20, GNA- The Atwima Mponua Member of Parliament, Mr Isaac Kwame Asiamah, has advised health extension workers under the National Youth Employment Scheme (NYES) to be disciplined and also serve as role models.

He said health care delivery demanded disciplined people with decision-making skills.

The MP gave the advice when he visited and interacted with 70 health extension workers who are undergoing a six-month training course in health delivery at Nyinahin during the weekend. Mr Asiamah said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government would continue to harness all human resource in the country in order to give employment opportunities for the youth. This he said would enable them to contribute meaningfully towards the socio-economic development of the country. He urged the trainees to show love, commitment and devotion in their work after the training.

The trainees and the facilitators, however, complained that they had still not received their allowances and appealed to the MP to ensure that they were paid promptly. 20 May 07
