Western Region recorded 3,736 abortion cases in 2010

Sekondi, Dec.14, GNA - About 3,736 abortion cases were recorded in the Western Region in 2010, Mr. Frank Ofosu-Asante, the Regional Population Officer, said on Tuesday.

Addressing a meeting of the Regional Population Advisory Committee at Sekondi, he said the figure could be higher because of the low patronage of family planning services in the region.
